Description
Hytera’s Extended Pseudo Trunk (XPT) is a distributed trunking system without a central system control node. Based on Pseudo Trunk technology and a digital trunking system, it is a cost-effective, scalable solution for increasing the capacity of DMR radio networks.

Strong Fault Tolerance Capabilities
The XPT system automatically detects failures and takes action to minimize their impact, ensuring proper repeater service in fault-tolerant mode.
No Control Channel
Unlike classic trunk radios, the Hytera XPT system does not use a single control channel. All available radio channels are used for communication.
Call Control
The XPT system uses a “Request and Allow” mechanism to allocate channels. Radios transmit or receive services only after a successful data connection. This avoids call conflicts and prevents interference from radios with strong signals.
Advanced Load Balancing
The XPT system allocates different groups to different parent repeaters, thus minimizing call conflicts on the same repeater and increasing the success rate in call setup.
